The Community Chest has been used to support a range of people and community groups develop and idea or deliver an activity in the Auchmuty area.
Community Groups and individuals can apply for funding of around £250 if you can show us that:
- The activity will take place in the Our Place neighbourhood
- There are at least four people involved
- Everyone is prepared to contribute their time, energy and talents
Some of the things that we have funded are:
BIG Lunch – brought Auchmuty organisations together for lunch and raised money for charity.
Knitting group – One of our community connectors started a knitting/sewing group to pass on her skills.
Ladybird nursery family day – Bringing local families together on their annual family day.
Sarah Hendry School of Dance – a local dance school provided a superb show in the local Rothes Halls.
Scout Hall – Open day/BBQ at the scout hall to show that these facilities are available and encourage more use by the community.
St Luke’s Harvest Lunch – A lunch open to the local community with entertainment from the local dance school.
Warout Primary – Warout’s Got Talent – wonderful show by the children of Warout Primary school.
