Funding & Support
The Our Place programme offers local people and groups help to develop their ideas and projects both through practical support and funding.
Support From Our Place Connectors
Our Place Auchmuty is being delivered by Community Enterprise Ltd and BRAG who are specialists in community development, social enterprise and project planning. Both Community Enterprise and BRAG are able to offer a range of support from connecting people, training and building confidence, developing ideas & getting projects off the ground through to long term planning, funding and sustainability.
Support from the Our Place Auchmuty Community Chest is available to help you support an activity. You can apply for funding of around £250 if you can show us that:
- The activity will take place in the Our Place neighbourhood
- There are at least four people involved
- Everyone is prepared to contribute their time, energy and talents
If you want to apply for more than £250 then please discuss this with the Our Place team. The Big Lottery has set aside funding to support Our Place projects. To find out if your idea or project may be eligible for other types of funding, you can find application guidelines and criteria on The Big Lottery’s website. If you would like to apply for Our Place funding or find out about other funding possibilities, please contact Dave Park from Community Enterprise: firstname.lastname@example.org / 01506 862227 or Julie Wesencraft at BRAG: email@example.com / 01592 860296 to talk through your ideas.

About Community Enterprise
We help communities, charities and social enterprises to make good things happen, from food initiatives and credit unions to community run sports facilities, we help organisations become more sustainable by generating income and moving away from grant funding.
We’re a social enterprise and our mission is to help people gain the capacity and confidence to improve their community through enterprise. We’re a small professional team that provide personalised support to individuals and groups. Each member of the team has an area of specialist knowledge such as accounting, fundraising, marketing and impact measurement.
We deliver support when it’s needed. We charge for large pieces of work, such as business plans, and all of the profit we generate is used to subsidise free support. This allows us to build long term supportive relationships with our clients.
BRAG Enterprises Limited, a social enterprise, was formed in 1988 in response to the decline of the heavy engineering and mining industries of Fife. Its primary aim is the regeneration of the communities through the creation and support of sustainable employment. Located in Central Fife, its head office operates from a refurbished primary school.
In line with the aims of the organisation BRAG has converted the building to house 40 workspace units from which operate a diverse range of businesses. To compliment this activity it provides a wide range of initiatives including business support, retraining and recruitment. The organisation has developed an excellent track record of working with some of the most hard to reach groups in Fife.
